About The Blog’s Name
This blog is named after E.M. Forster’s The Machine Stops. The Machine Stops is a short science fiction story written in 1909. The story is about a world where humans can no longer survive without the technology they have created. They worship ‘the machine’ unconditionally and have lost interest in direct experience, preferring computer mediated communication.  Any of that sound familiar?
